It won't screw up the system, you just fill in a blank field it doesn't really need to process, but it checks for it anyway (stupidly)

I had the same problem with my cvv number with my capital one visa, I had to use my debit card. Knowing something about online card verification, this is going to become a problem. A-Net will need to sell slots and other upgrades at game stores also.
When you get a message that says could not connect to merchant provider, it means that either your credit card bank does not support online purchasses or that they simply were not able to get trough meaning a busy signal. Ok...anyone else having problems linking accounts?

Now that the extra character slots are available, I have a question for which I haven't found an answer: my account has both Prophecies and Factions, giving me a total of six characters. If I go to the store and buy another copy of Factions, can I add it to my exsiting account?

you can add another copy of factions, but it wont get you anything extra (no new slots). the only reason you might want to is for CE emotes.
